The Baker family has been making bricks since John Baker arrived from England in 1852. Lincoln Brickworks at Wingham, on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, manufactures bricks in the traditional dry press way.
The clays are quarried locally, then put through a process of grinding and are elevated into dry press machines. The 'green' bricks are then stacked into down-draft or updraft kilns and burnt by wood-firing which helps give them their unique colouring.
When you choose a brick from Lincoln Brickworks, you are selecting from an exclusive range that is top quality and trouble free. Your home will blend with the environment in the bush, or stand out with distinction on the street, with that look of excellence. Our bricks meet Australian standards. We can provide technical details about our range of bricks and pavers, and advice on how to get the best out of your selection. We can arrange transport to any part of New South Australia and exports can also be catered for.
We can arrange a consultant to visit you or you can call into our brickworks. Our display is open to the public seven days a week and our office is open week days and Saturday mornings.
